The Viewpoint. Recently improved by the City Council, it would be even further enhanced if some of the brush and saplings that partially obscure the view were removed. However, the view is still pretty good despite this minor inconvenience. The bronze plate to the side of the viewpoint gives compass points, lattitude and longditude, and also records that this is the site of the executions of the last of the Saxon Earls.
